Volunteers become an essential part of this journey, sharing valuable knowledge, offering encouragement, and helping women unlock new paths forward. You’ll work alongside local staff and community leaders to deliver tailored support that responds to real needs—whether that’s in the classroom, the kitchen, the sewing room, or during outreach sessions in the community.

  • Your Impact as a Volunteer

By volunteering on our Women Empowerment Program in Jaipur, you’ll be contributing to long-term change that uplifts individuals, families, and the wider community.

Your impact will be deeply personal and widely felt. Many of the women involved in this program come from disadvantaged backgrounds, often denied access to education, employment opportunities, and even basic health rights. Your presence gives them not just skills—but also belief in themselves.

Here’s how your time makes a difference:

    Build Confidence & Independence
By teaching income-generating skills like stitching, cooking, and henna design, you help women gain the tools they need to start small businesses or contribute financially to their households.

    Improve Health & Hygiene Awareness
Sharing knowledge about nutrition, reproductive health, and hygiene empowers women to take charge of their own and their families' well-being.

    Support Personal Growth
Through informal education and life skills workshops, you foster greater self-worth and unlock potential that has been suppressed by generations of inequality.

    Strengthen Families & Communities
Educated and empowered women often become changemakers in their communities—sending their children to school, advocating for better health, and encouraging neighbours to participate in programs.

    Create a Ripple Effect
Your work doesn't end when your placement does. Women supported through this program often go on to teach others what they've learned, multiplying your impact across their social circles and generations to come.

Volunteering here means becoming a part of something bigger—contributing to a cultural shift toward gender equality and economic empowerment from the grassroots up.

  • Your Home in India

During your time on the Teaching & Education Program in India, you’ll be welcomed into a comfortable and culturally immersive environment that allows you to truly experience local life.

You will stay with a host family, within a rented house or hostel, in a safe and well-established neighbourhood. All host families are carefully screened and selected to ensure a secure, welcoming, and supportive atmosphere. These families are typically middle-class and accustomed to hosting international volunteers.

Rooms are either single or shared with other volunteers of the same gender, depending on availability. All basic amenities are provided, including:

    • A clean and comfortable bed with linens

    • Shared or private bathroom facilities

    • Access to filtered drinking water

    • Basic furniture for storage and study

    • Home-cooked meals (vegetarian options available)

    • Support and guidance from your host family

Your accommodation may be within walking distance of your project site, or you may take a short tuk-tuk or bus ride each day. Staying with a local family provides an excellent opportunity to embrace Indian culture, cuisine, and hospitality—making your experience both meaningful and memorable.

  • History

This powerful grassroots initiative began in the heart of Jaipur’s slum communities with a simple mission: to break the cycle of poverty and provide opportunities for children who have none.

Through years of trust-building with families and community leaders, this local project has become a sanctuary for slum, street, and orphaned children, offering more than just education—it provides stability, emotional support, and purpose.

The first classroom opened right inside the slum, and from there, it has blossomed into a full-scale program delivering moral education, fun, social engagement, and community development. The project continues to grow thanks to dedicated local staff and volunteers.

    Mission & Vision

The mission is clear: to improve the lives of underprivileged children and empower families by placing education at the centre of long-term, generational change.

The vision is a future where every child—regardless of background—has the opportunity to become a responsible, contributing member of society. Beyond academics, the program also focuses on personal development, hygiene, health education, and social values.

Their goal is not only to prepare children for school but also to prepare them for life. Every volunteer who joins this initiative becomes a part of a larger movement to protect vulnerable youth from exploitation and help them reach their full potential.
