Key Activities Include:
Greenhouse Work: Participate in planting, weeding, and harvesting a variety of vegetables such as tomatoes and cucumbers in geothermally heated greenhouses.
Environmental Maintenance: Engage in gardening and maintenance tasks around the property to support sustainable practices.

Volunteers typically work from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. The work is both indoors and outdoors, depending on weather conditions, and is designed to be educational and impactful.

What to Expect: A Day in the Life of an Organic and Sustainable Volunteer

7:30 AM – Morning Start & Breakfast

Your Homes in Iceland
Volunteers will stay in the official Worldwide Friends house in Hveragerði, a charming town known for its natural hot springs and greenhouses. The house is spacious and comfortable, offering a communal living experience in a tranquil setting surrounded by nature.
