Also known as Malipe, it was founded by Muhammad Ardian on November 4, 2021 with the principle of concern for nature, marine ecosystems and turtles. Existing natural resources must be maintained and used wisely by paying attention to their continuity and sustainability. We believe that humans cannot live apart from nature and we strive to create a harmonious life between humans and the environmental ecosystem.

Some of your roles as a volunteer
As a volunteer, you will play a central role in our turtle conservation initiatives, gaining valuable skills and experiences along the way. Here are some of the key responsibilities you'll undertake:
Census Patrol: Provide real-time data on nightly sea turtle sightings and assist in monitoring their activities.
Hatchling Patrols: Monitor and record hatchling numbers on Balembangan Island, ensuring their safe passage to the sea by clearing obstacles such as twigs and roots that may trap them.
Hatchling Release: Participate in the daily release of baby sea turtles at dusk, timing their release to minimize exposure to predators.
Sea Patrols: Collect initial data on sea turtle visits to Balembangan Island. Assist in relocating nests if they are at risk from tidal conditions during nesting stages, which include emerging from the sea, moving inland, selecting a nesting site, preparing the nest, laying eggs, covering the nest, and returning to the sea.
Join us in making a significant impact on turtle conservation efforts while acquiring practical skills that can be applied beyond your volunteer experience.
When you open the monitoring post, first you will see where the ranger rest. For volunteer to rest, there are 2 different place. Side room and back room. In the side room, there are 3 beds with cots to rest and store all the volunteers’ items. Whereas in the back room, there are No. cots because the back room is usually used for groups and mattresses can be installed as needed.
